Fall Break - Day 1

We decided it was time for a vacation and headed up to Pigeon Forge for a few days.

On the first day we drove.
We had reservations to ride horses at 4:00, but with traffic we didn't get there until 4:30.  Luckily, they waited for us.  When we called to make the reservations we were informed that Morgan would have her very own horse - Dad and I were a little hesitant, but she did great!

Morgan's horse was Larry.
 Kolton's horse was Poncho.
Kaden's horse was Ruffles.  Mom rode Chick.

Jamie's horse was Fury...and lived up to his name!!!  He kept stopping to eat and Jamie couldn't control it.

We stayed for the Wild West Show and Dinner...and it was so worth it.  Not that the show was too exciting, but it was the experience of roasting our own hot dogs and marshmallows over a huge fire pit that gave us all enjoyment.

Waiting to load up.

 Riding out to the grounds.

Another ride for the little ones.

 Too much marshmallow...
Heading back with our "Cowboy Coffee."

After the long first day, we headed back to our hotel and hit the waterpark until 10, when it closed.  We quickly realized that Morgan is a thrillseeker - once she decided to ride a waterslide, it was a continuous cycle that we had trouble breaking.

Here's the "REAL" before and after from the Orthodontist:

Isn't she lovely?

Morgan, Our Fashion Diva

Morgan made her own outfit out of scarves...very inventive!
She was invited to a "Fashion Diva" birthday party and now she's insisting on having her next birthday there.  We passed another mother as we walked in and she told us that Morgan had the prettiest hairstyle of all the girls...my heart swelled.

No, this is not lipstick - she's all natural lipped.

As we were scrubbing the make-up off that night, she informed me that she "hates make-up"!!  I said, "Good!  That's why I don't wear any and you shouldn't either."

Karate Morgan

Morgan says she doesn't like karate, but she goes the entire 30 minutes grinning ear-to-ear!  Here they're doing partner assisted stretches.

Goofs

I received this picture as a text while Jamie was out with Morgan.  I hope it makes you giggle like it did me.

Prepping for Picture Day

Morgan came home from school and was so excited about picture day the next day that she went straight in and picked out her entire outfit, to include a hair bow (Christmas one).  I talked her into pigtails, but when morning arrived and we took the braids out, she really liked her hair down.  So we compromised with just the front pulled back and a bow that was not the Christmas one.

Wet hair braided and pretty painted fingernails.
Morning of Picture Day - ready to walk to school.  I'm so glad I'm not one of those moms that is so paranoid about the hair, I have fly-aways and so does Morgie...it comes with the hair!  So we embrace them and let them stay.
