Pool Days ROCK!!

Sunday morning Morgan and I had the pool all to ourselves for about 30-45 minutes - it was so nice!

Here's me today, I used SPF 30 for the first time this summer (I usually use 55 or higher)...I even reapplied - pink cheekers!  Oops!

Morgan has goggle face - that's what she's trying to show here.  It covers half of her forehead, under her eyes, and over her nose.  She's not trying to pout, she's just really tired.

Morgan-style pedis

Morgan was begging to paint Jamie's toe nails, so he agreed to black and blue.  I showed Morgan a royal blue and a teal-ish blue...and she chose the "prettier" color - Jamie was thrilled!!! Not so much, but he's still sporting it, he sure loves his little girl.

After painting Jamie's, Morgan asked if she could paint mine.  The OCD in me was screaming, "NO WAY IN HELL!!!", but if Daddy can allow it I figured I'd better let her, too.  I think she got more on my toes than the toe nails, but it came off the skin.

She was trying to paint with a white sparkly color, but it didn't really show up on pink sparkly polish.

First Wrestling Camp

Here are a couple of our wrestlers with Morgan (and some creeper in the back) at the parents meeting before camp.

Here's our small crew that attended wrestling camp up in Chattanooga last week.  The boys had a blast, but were exhausted and happy to be home.  Kolton (mister I don't need you, your help, or your affection...I'm independent) was the one calling home every night (as we directed them both to do).  Kaden texted!

MMmm, yummy!! While the boys were away at camp, we treated Morgan to Zen Beri - TWICE!!!

COFFEE THIEF!!

Mom's cup is never safe in this house of thieves!  If it's not Jamie, it's Morgan steeling my coffee!!  I say "drink", they interpret it as "gulps"!!

Morgan's Pool Time!

Morgan preparing for a handstand...
Her feet, oh so close!
Playing with the neighbor girl.

Kolton!

Kolton left the pool mad at me, saying he didn't want to go home just to play his video games.  But here's where I found him the second I got home from the pool with the other two...in the "study" on the laptop playing his game!

Sleep

Morgan was so tired, she just draped herself over my lower leg and was asleep in no time...who knew I could make such a comfy "bed"!
Morgan was convinced she could make something out of the packing paper from this box!
Ahh, naptime!

Tug-of-War

Mama's Girl - 25%
Daddy's Girl - 75%

8th Grade Graduation Day

My handsome Nichols men on our way in.
Proud  Grammy and Papa, made the trip from Kansas to see them.
One of the twins was given an award for being in the "Top Ten" of his class of about 350 students...we are so proud!!

Field Day Activities

Snow cones are a must - after the water slide, of course!  She took a few bites, handed it to me, and then came and took it back when I got it all mushy and perfect!
She couldn't wait to get her face painted, must have waited over 30 minutes for her turn.

Field Day

Walking to school ready for the fun day!

My boys.

Jamie taught Kaden how to tie a neck tie for his 8th Grade Graduation.  He practiced and practiced...he was so proud of himself he wanted me to take a couple of pictures! Such a stud!
The boys sold 60 cheesecakes for their Wrestling fundraiser.  The evening they were in we drove the neighborhood delivering over 50 of them...here you can see both boys riding with the back of the van door open and ready to grab a cake and run!

Poor, Sick, Morgie

Sunday = croup; Monday = doctor visit for croup, surprise strep swab = positive (antibiotic & steroid given); Tuesday = a little better; Wednesday - Friday = fever, headache, runny, stuffy nose, cough... ONE LONG WEEK!!
Running fever and complaining of a headache, poor girl.  We think she possibly had the flu on top of the croup and strep throat...possibly a virus causing high fever, too.  It was horrible!
One look at the above picture and Daddy came home to help take care of her.  It really did take two of us.  One to hold her and one to run for the fresh ice water for the wash cloth and food/popsicles.  He's a wonderful caregiver.

Storage

I finally found the perfect storage containers for all the crayons and colored pencils we've collected over the last 10 years!  I saw a red paint can at TJ Maxx and it gave me the idea, and a wonderful friend told me they sell these empty cans at Lowe's - so now I just need to go back for one for markers.  Morgan loves it, she just grabs the handles and takes off.

More Morgan

Cheese!
Mmmm..."hot tea", Nutella on toast and 1/2 of a mini bagel with strawberry cream cheese - breakfast of champions!!
Well deserved lunch after doctor visit - strep test & blood prick!  OUCH!
