Congrats, boys, we're so proud of you!

The boys had their first karate belt test Saturday and were given an "exception" and were able to skip a belt and tested for the purple belt. We're so proud of them! Their hard work has really paid off. Sensei Vic was prepared to award the boys with orange belts, so he didn't have the two extra purple belts on hand, but he assured us they were ordered!

Morgan being pretty patient.

Morgan and Sarah Beth had a little bit of difficulty being quiet, but overall they did a great job!

Morgan chews gum by biting pieces off, chewing, then spitting them out.

Waiting for the results....

Very blurry, but Kolton being congratulated.

Kaden's congratulation.

Funny

I need to start off by saying that Morgan hates the smell of menthol. After a grueling leg workout on Tuesday I was still having trouble moving my legs this morning. So I lathered them up with Bengay and a little Biofreeze. I walked into the kitchen and found Morgan's shortalls unsnapped, and I bent down to snap them back. She immediately started sniffing and asking, "What's that smell, Mom?"...and I just started giggling. I asked her to sniff my legs and tell me if that was what she was talking about. She immediately said, "yep"...and I asked her if it was yummy and she said, "No, yucky!"

Little Gym Dance Day

Today was Morgan's second day for dance and she was extremely excited to go. She had no qualms about being without me, and I actually remembered my camera this time. I didn't capture all of the cute moments, but here's what I did get. Enjoy!

I missed the ballet walk - all the girls had their arms over their head and were walking on their tip-toes...it was so cute, I could kick myself! Here they're hopping.

Dancing Darling

Somebody loves her new ballet shoes and has started digging back into her dress up clothes.
Love Strawberry Shortcake, too!

Princess Morgan

After about 20 minutes and three or four hairstyles, here's what Morgan finally decided she wanted. Daddy thought this was just too cute, the excitement in his voice was so sweet.

Not wanting to stand still for the picture.

Back to School time!!!!

Look at these middle schoolers - big 6th graders....sniff, sniff. The boys seem to enjoy the freedom and independence that middle school brings. They're not complaining so far about school...good sign. They're both in Advanced Math, Advanced English, and Advanced Science...heavy load. We're so proud of them. When we went back-to-school shopping we ended up in the MEN'S section for Kolton - shoes and pants! He's wearing a men's 8 in shoes!!! YIKES! I can now officially wear his pants, too - perfect in waist and length! Just what every 6th grade boy wants, his mom to be the same size steeling his clothes! Hahaha!

Morgan started dance at the Little Gym that combines dance and gymnastics...we were not informed BEFORE classes that she needed tap shoes and ballet shoes. So we went shopping after class and she couldn't wait to wear her new dance clothes. She didn't want me to take a picture, so I "caught" her when she wasn't expecting it!

Pretty Princess

Take a look at these pretty toes!

Creepy Crawlies

We went out one morning to water our worms (don't ask) and we all walked right past this guy...he blended in so well. Imagine how shocked I was when I saw him inching closer to our front door as we all watched the worms! Check out how big this sucker is next to my foot!

Blurry close-up

Kolton braving the worms.

Morgan wanted to hold them, too...ewwwww!
