Morgan the Manicurist

Morgan asked me today if she could paint my nails, she's never asked before. So I thought, sure why not! I attempted to pick out a color and she said, "NO, I WILL pick it out." So this is what I received. She's been doing really well coloring mostly in the lines...so what do you think, how'd she do?

I attempted to get a shot, and then I tried to get Morgan to take a picture of both hands together.

Pool time!

With the boys gone, Morgan and I have been to the pool a lot and also had lots of fun playdates. Last Friday morning her friend, Abby, came with us to the pool for the first time. After watching Abby swimming with no floaties, Morgan was mentally ready to swim, too - but she never did. It's just great that she's thinking ahead already.

Chattanooga

Morgan was so sad without her bubbies, so we took her to Chattanooga the first Saturday of their absence. I still didn't take very many pictures...but we've been here before.

First stop...Tennessee Aquarium

Then on to the Children's Discovery Museum

Morgan loved playing all of the instruments.

Making the burp machine produce...ewwww!

Morgan was strong enough to pull herself up with no help from Daddy...way to go Morgie Moo!

Kansas

We took a trip to Kansas, stopping in Kansas City first. We unloaded a van full of baby items for my best friend, Renee' and I was able to spend almost a full day with her. We were in KC for a couple of days and when we left, we were one kid short. Kolton stayed behind to visit Grandma Patti & Papa Larry alone for the first time. We then headed down to Indy for a couple of days. Grandpa Frank came to town and we spent some time at the park - these are the only photos that we came away with from our trip! Morgan loved the park & zoo, this was her first time and it was so muggy so we weren't able to stay for too long. We left Kaden behind to stay with Grammy & Papa - also a first time away from home. Morgan took it really hard, it was so sad.

That weekend Kolton headed to Wichita for a week long visit with Grandpa Frank & Grandma Becky. He has become quite the fisherman, and even learned to take the fish off the hook (also learned to weed eat)!! After a week with Grandpa Nichols, he joined Kaden at Grammy & Papa's.

Morgan's Show Day

Let me start by saying that the first semester there were only five girls in this group - and their final performance took us almost the whole hour. This semester there were fourteen girls in the class...so this was quite a show!

Grand entrance, she wouldn't let go of Miss Ally's hand...dragged her all the way across the room!

Sitting on the banana wall waiting their turn to show their mat skills.

Morgan's mat skills...thanks to a good friend with an awesome camera, there are some GREAT shots.
Next up is the bar routine
Lastly, the dance portion.
Medal for the Star!

These were so cute, I couldn't choose just one...enjoy! Morgan didn't want to partake in the "Silly Faces" picture. She was tired and ready to go home.
