Spring Gardening

After taking Morgan to Lowe's to build a flower pot last weekend, I decided that I would like some flowers planted in the front yard this year. It didn't take much to convince Jamie, and Morgan couldn't wait to plant them! I didn't get the camera out while we were planting, all three of us were busy working and the boys were inside...so I only have pictures from afterwards.

Daddy and Morgan resting from the hard work - with fresh cookies, of course!

This morning before we left for the gym, I walked outside and found that we already have blooming flowers!! Woohoo!!! There are two near each tree...Morgan and I are so excited!

Kolton

This is how Kolton spends most days before school...and after if he has no homework and if the kids aren't playing basketball.

Hair Organizer Project

My dear friend, Kristen, and I set out to make a bow/barrette holder after seeing a bunch of different kinds at a craft show. Luckily, my friend Bev's little girl (Alicia) had a birthday coming up and she was the one we had in mind when we started this. It allowed us to not only have fun crafting, but we also enjoyed coffee/playdates! I made the four pairs of barrettes for Alicia to start her collection off. Kristen hand painted the swirls on the flip-flops - she's so artsy!

Cousins

Jeannie and I met up one morning for breakfast and I was able to get a few shots of Ella & Morgan.

Water Fight!!!

Morgan woke up from her nap and was ready to go play outside...with her little baby sister/brother (the gender depends on her mood...but it always wears pink and purple)!

Pretty girl

Morgan found her goggles (which she has never worn longer than 5 seconds) and decided she wanted to have a watergun fight...only the boys had already come in and changed their clothes after a neighborhood water fight. So her daddy took pity on her and went to let the fight begin.

She doesn't care that he doesn't have a gun at this point.

Jamie is crouched in and ready to soak.

From this point, Morgan has the advantage.

Duck and run, duck and run!!!

Uh-oh, here he comes...watch out Morgan!

Easter Egg Hunt 2010

Morgan's first official Egg Hunt...check out all the kids (and parents after the hunt)!!!
They would not allow parents on the field, so Kaden stepped up to take her out.

All that effort for ONE egg!

The next morning Jamie took her to the grocery store's Easter Egg Hunt...they separated them by age and Morgan was in the 0-4 age group. He said that not only were the parents rude, but that the older kids came running into their area - again ONE egg! So the Easter Bunny made a special stop while she was on her way home and left her some early eggs to hunt for around the house...that Bunny is one smart cookie!

Girls Outing

My dear friend, Kristen, and I took Morgan for a girls day out. Here, she helped entertain Morgan while I browsed the kids' clothes.

Then we took a break from shopping so Morgan could ride the carousel - so amazed that she wanted to ride it all by herself -- such a big girl!

Birthday Girl

What a start to a great day - opening birthday presents!

From Grammy & Papa...

Butterfly-shaped scrapbook and all the stickers and paper to work on it! Woohoo!

From Grandma Patti & Papa Larry...

From Aunt Jeannie, Uncle Jason, Cole, Kelsey, & Ella...

The LOOT!!!
After lunch we headed home to our gift for her...

From Grandpa & Grandma...the cutest rain jacket!

Strawberry Princess cake, as requested - she was lucky she got the eyes and mouth. I'm no good at those, so she almost went faceless! Hahahaha! Maybe next year I'll put more effort into her cake.

Birthday girl ready for some cake.
