Turtles

Could you say "NO" to this little girl?

So much for "No Touching." There was a chalk-written note around the cage that said, "DO NOT PICK UP TURTLES, ONLY PET THEM." So I gave in. I know she can't read, but have you not seen the imprint on my forehead...it says "SUCKER"? It's there, go back and look closely.

Beckoning the turtles...

Sharing

Us girls took a short break to sit in the butterfly chair and made a photo-op out of it.

Kaden could not catch a butterfly, so he finally talked Kolton into sharing briefly.

Butterflies

What kid doesn't love a water fountain?

The kids are all trying to attract butterflies to the nectar on their fingers - only Morgan doesn't have any.

One landed on Kolton's shoe.

He lured it onto his finger, where he was able to give it a ride for quite a while - he says 30 minutes.

Morgan so desperately wanted to hold the butterfly.

Miscellaneous Photos

Kaden "helping" Morgan get wet. Amazingly enough, she did NOT throw a tantrum!

Kolton accompanied Morgan up at the look-out.

Kaden lounging - I tried to get the other two to join him in the other chair, but it was a no-go.

Rainbows & Frogs

Again, this rainbow has a motion-sensor that sprays water. When Morgan saw what happened, she refused to follow the rainbow path. She instead chose to stand and yell, "HOLD ME, HOLD ME!" until I urged her to run over to me on the sidewalk. The boys LOVE this, anything to get wet!

Morgan loves this frog at the well.

More Water!

People actually bring their kids in bathing suits just to play in the sprinklers. Morgan was taking her time checking out the water from a distance (and watching other little people getting wet voluntarily) and eventually got brave enough to test it out and get a little wet.

Still not sure, but getting closer.

What you can't see is a rocket that sprays water every hour on the hour and that's what the boys were waiting for. They just had to figure out where it was aiming so they'd get wet.

Another Beautiful day at the Botanical Garden

What is it about water?

Kolton was running backwards and Morgan was trying to catch up.

Morgan wasn't too sure about this motion-sensor spray!

Passing the time with Play-doh

I made play-doh yesterday to entertain Morgan, and it ended up entertaining all three kids! This morning, though, Morgan needed the extra fun to pull her mind away from looking for bubbies - she's a little lost with them at school!!

5th Grade, Here We Come!!!

The boys were up by 5:45 in order to catch their bus at 6:50 this morning! Think they were excited?
