Morgan at the "beach".

Jamie's office had their work picnic over near a water park and Jamie took Morgan and Kaden while Kolton was recovering from his tonsillectomy.  Here she is enjoying the beach part of the water park.

All About Morgan

Lazy days, trying to stay in bed as long as possible.

Morgan at a "Lego" birthday party.

She is totally my girl - peanut butter with mini chocolate chips...YUMMY!!

I took Morgan into our local library and we noticed this picture up on the wall...she said, "Mom, THAT'S MY PICTURE!!!"  Sure enough, it was hers!  It was the only one  like this by a Kindergartner!

This is how Morgan wins at Mario Kart, she gives all her babies controllers and tells them to stay on the road!  Hahahaha!

Kolton's Tonsillectomy

At his physical in June, the pediatrician said that Kolton had large tonsils, and that she would refer him to the ENT.  When the ENT saw him he said that on a scale of 1-4 one of Kolton's tonsils was about a 3-3.5 and the other one was about 3.5-4!!!  WHAT!?!?!?  How did this go so long without being noticed???  So surgery was scheduled for July 20th.  Here he is waiting for surgery, trying to pass the time by reading (required summer reading).

After the IV, he didn't even wince!  He's so tough!

Watching some TV in the Pre-Op area.

Only one parent was allowed back during the IV insertion, and I decided since I gave birth - I got to be the one.  I WIN!!!

His ENT praying over us before taking Kolton.

Once Kolton woke up they brought him up to a hospital-like room.  As they wheeled him in (in the bed) he looked at me and very drawn out (loopy) said, "I...just...rode...in...an...elevator........and...it...was...so...cool."  I choked back my laughter and asked, "Is that so?"  I had to turn my back to face Jamie and busted out laughing.  He was so loopy that when I reached down to hug him, he actually reciprocated...this NEVER happens!  So I took complete advantage of his drugged state!  Thanks, Jamie, for snapping this moment...it will bring tears to my eyes for ever!
After surgery, the ENT told us that Kolton's tonsils were actually larger than what he'd seen in the office visit.  Once he got in there, he said that they were about twice as big and deep as he thought they were!!  Poor guy, no wonder he was having some much trouble sleeping, and waking up grumpy every day!!!

He was such a great patient and recovered so well, even though his pain medication was prescribed wrong.  For the first 3 1/2 days he was taking only 1 tsp of the pain meds...when I called the nurse to let her know that he would be running out by the 4th day (supposedly the worst day), I expressed my concern about him not being given the correct dosage.  She reassured me it was correct, but that she'd call more meds in.  She called back a little while later to apologize, he was actually supposed to be taking 3 tsp!  Sheesh!  Luckily, Kolton has a high tolerance for pain and on a scale of 1-10, he said the worst he experienced was about a 3-4...that was before he had the correct dosage!  When we got the meds filled we only gave him 2 tsp during the day and 3 tsp at night to get through a longer period of time.  He weaned himself off the meds within a couple of days...leaving some in the bottle still.  He's really a great kid and patient, goes against how most boys/men behave when ill.  He's healed up and goes to the ENT in a couple days for his follow-up.  He wakes up in great spirits every morning and he told me that he can now go right back to sleep if he wakes up in the middle of the night.  WOW!  I had no idea he had that much trouble sleeping.

July Kids

This is how Kolton looks when I "force" him to join us at the pool...counting down his 60 minutes of mandatory pool time!!  :D

This is how Kolton usually looks most days when not forced to go to the gym, pool, or read for his summer reading.

Sweet Kaden, always ready for a hug.

Morgan, always into something.

The kids' favorite fro-yo place and we enjoyed it while Kolton was at a sleepover.

Summer Bums

Morgan's new Teddy Bear, she puked on the last one.

The boys' first Zen Beri experience...they all got fro-yo and then smoothies.  I'm going to make them start taking their own money!! :D

Morgan fell asleep in the desk chair she was so tired.

Pool Days ROCK!!

Sunday morning Morgan and I had the pool all to ourselves for about 30-45 minutes - it was so nice!

Here's me today, I used SPF 30 for the first time this summer (I usually use 55 or higher)...I even reapplied - pink cheekers!  Oops!

Morgan has goggle face - that's what she's trying to show here.  It covers half of her forehead, under her eyes, and over her nose.  She's not trying to pout, she's just really tired.

Morgan-style pedis

Morgan was begging to paint Jamie's toe nails, so he agreed to black and blue.  I showed Morgan a royal blue and a teal-ish blue...and she chose the "prettier" color - Jamie was thrilled!!! Not so much, but he's still sporting it, he sure loves his little girl.

After painting Jamie's, Morgan asked if she could paint mine.  The OCD in me was screaming, "NO WAY IN HELL!!!", but if Daddy can allow it I figured I'd better let her, too.  I think she got more on my toes than the toe nails, but it came off the skin.

She was trying to paint with a white sparkly color, but it didn't really show up on pink sparkly polish.

First Wrestling Camp

Here are a couple of our wrestlers with Morgan (and some creeper in the back) at the parents meeting before camp.

Here's our small crew that attended wrestling camp up in Chattanooga last week.  The boys had a blast, but were exhausted and happy to be home.  Kolton (mister I don't need you, your help, or your affection...I'm independent) was the one calling home every night (as we directed them both to do).  Kaden texted!

MMmm, yummy!! While the boys were away at camp, we treated Morgan to Zen Beri - TWICE!!!

COFFEE THIEF!!

Mom's cup is never safe in this house of thieves!  If it's not Jamie, it's Morgan steeling my coffee!!  I say "drink", they interpret it as "gulps"!!

Morgan's Pool Time!

Her feet, oh so close!
