Riverside Park & Zoo

I caught Kaden digging in the sand.

Caught Kaden attempting to jump on the rhino!

Uncle Jack & Aunt Nancy's Farm

Meeting the dogs.

And the goats.

Attempting to feed them.

At the track

Are there really any words for this one?
Morgan loved the freedom (and flat surface) of riding her bike.

Spaghetti Cookout

Jamie still knows how to surprise me, he was so brilliant to "cook out" spaghetti on the grill since we had no power...and it was delicious.

Without electricity...

Morgan and Kaden's attempt to entertain themselves without power.

Morgan and the goat.

On the Road Home

This is the first time we've ever let Morgan sit in the far back of the van.  She was so excited!
Half way home, I made Morgan switch with Kolton.  Kaden looked back and caught Morgan asleep like this and wanted to take a picture.  The trip took us about 12 hours there and back, they were pretty good troopers over all.

Kolton - Student Driver

One of the most wonderful memories I have from growing up in Kansas was learning to drive when I was 12.  My daddy would take me out on back roads or dirt roads, and I've been dying to give my kids that experience.  So I took the kids out and got lost and let them take turns behind the wheel.  Kolton was really good at keeping the vehicle at 30mph or slower.

Pre-Student Driver

Morgan has been practicing steering on my lap in her preschool parking lot in the mornings, so I figured she'd have fun on a road.  I put my phone on its holder (on the vent) and took a couple shots...so you're seeing her hand on the steering wheel here.  She would not allow me to go over 20 mph!

Kaden - Student Driver # 2

When Kaden took the wheel, his foot all of a sudden became heavy.  I had to keep reminding him to keep it at or below 30mph!  I took the kids on a road where they both got to take a couple of curves.  I think it was Kaden who also passed an oncoming tractor!
I flipped my phone to capture the other two while Kaden was driving!!
Kaden was the only one who wanted to actually drive on a gravel road, and he was better on the gravel than the paved!
