Kansas City Visit

Jamie's mom and stepdad brought Gaby to Indy to meet us for lunch on Tuesday and headed home to prepare for our unexpected visit. We headed up that evening around 6:30PM and stayed until Friday morning. We went over to see Jamie's brother's family Wednesday for dinner and Husker football.

Jeff preparing his cheese dip.

Missy stuffing her face - thanks for the covering, Gina!

Brains of the family!

Football...gotta love football.

Jeff, surprised that Gina actually attempted to rub his shoulders!

Not the most flattering picture, but I had to boast about how wonderful my hubby is to me!!

Do we look like we are having fun?

The Nichols kids and grandkids.

Mom/Mimi/Grandma Patti and her boys, daughter-in-laws, and grandchildren.

Morgan LOVES Vinny the dog.

Kolton and Jamie with the twins, Emme & Dante (5), Gaby (9) and Morgan (3). Morgan was as tall as the twins, it was amazing. I'm not sure the twins realized Morgan was younger since she was their size. The girls just swooned over their Uncle Jamie!
Morgan and Grandma Patti sat down for crafts, she had a box full of goodies for Morgan to play with. She also had Barbie dolls, which Morgan has never played with - LOVED THEM! We now have an idea for her birthday!

Finished product - so cute, isn't she?

We just want to thank everyone for their hospitality during our visit, your homes were lovely and very inviting. We have some pretty awesome families! We love you all. xoxoxoxo

Scrapping with Grammy

Grammy planned a special craft with Morgan - her own photo album. They started with a cardboard album, Grammy let Morgan walk through the store and pick out the paper she wanted, and then went to the back of the store to begin. We covered all the pages with paper and even some embellishments. Grammy had some pretty neat tools to "file" the edges and holes. Now we just need to print pictures from her "Kansas Christmas" to fill it up!

Waiting patiently to help. She loved using the paper cutter.

Helping smooth paper down.

Learning the technique of filing.

One page completed.

Morgan thought painting glue on the flower was the best fun ever!
Until it got on her fingers!

Nearing the end of her attention span...Mom and Grammy had fun finishing the book!

Crafty Morgan

Again - the look...but she was putting a necklace and bracelet together. She just LOVES crafts, I can't mention that word without her hounding me about doing one. I try to buy up cheap little crafts and put them in her craft closet to pull out every now and then.

Christmas in Indy

We packed up and loaded up the van on Christmas Day and headed to Kansas. We hit some snow/ice covered roads in Oklahoma, but up until there it was a good trip. We overlapped with my sister's family that night, but then they headed home the next day.

My Name was also in town and came over on Sunday - I feel like this was my luckiest year to get to see her twice! Morgan just loves Aunt Name. Here you see her "don't take my picture" face...lovely.

Name trying to cheer her up.

Morgan had a rough day without a nap, but Papa is good at putting grandbabies to sleep.
Ahhhh....so sweet!

The boys on the second night.

All three kiddos, Morgan just had to be in the boys' bed.

Morgan LOVES snow, and we found some coveralls (in the boys section, they didn't carry any girl stuff) at Walmart so she could actually make snow angels and not worry about her clothes getting cold and wet. This looks like one of those "BIGFOOT SIGHTING" pictures! Hahahaha!

The boys couldn't play in the snow without throwing snowballs, which would eventually end in the boys being forced to go inside to keep out of trouble. BOYS!

Isn't she sweet in that infant stocking cap? Gotta love Walmart - they carry everything smaller and larger, but nothing in her size! Not to mention no snow gear for girls - dumb, dumb, dumb.

I think she'd be in heaven if we could get snow like this in Alabama.

Papa took the boys to the shooting range. They loved shooting a real gun!

Kolton's Commentary Corner

Josh and Sam came up from Oklahoma on Monday evening...I finally got to meet my sweet, sweet nephew Grant. Oh, he is so sweet and yummy! Morgan kept hovering and had to be near him constantly! It was wonderful getting to play games with Sam and just seeing them...it's been far too long.

Ben was in town and he even came over to visit. There must be something about Ben and Renee' that the kids sense, they just KNOW that they're family. Morgan had no problem crawling up in their laps! For those of you who don't know, Ben and Josh were practically inseparable when they were little and he was considered a family member.

Morgan was tickling Ben's feet!

Aunt Mimi's boy!

Josh and all the kids on the couch - bonding!
Morgan finally crawled up into Sam's lap, but got made when I pulled out the camera!
