Dancing Darling

Somebody loves her new ballet shoes and has started digging back into her dress up clothes.
Love Strawberry Shortcake, too!

Princess Morgan

After about 20 minutes and three or four hairstyles, here's what Morgan finally decided she wanted. Daddy thought this was just too cute, the excitement in his voice was so sweet.

Not wanting to stand still for the picture.

Back to School time!!!!

Look at these middle schoolers - big 6th graders....sniff, sniff. The boys seem to enjoy the freedom and independence that middle school brings. They're not complaining so far about school...good sign. They're both in Advanced Math, Advanced English, and Advanced Science...heavy load. We're so proud of them. When we went back-to-school shopping we ended up in the MEN'S section for Kolton - shoes and pants! He's wearing a men's 8 in shoes!!! YIKES! I can now officially wear his pants, too - perfect in waist and length! Just what every 6th grade boy wants, his mom to be the same size steeling his clothes! Hahaha!

Morgan started dance at the Little Gym that combines dance and gymnastics...we were not informed BEFORE classes that she needed tap shoes and ballet shoes. So we went shopping after class and she couldn't wait to wear her new dance clothes. She didn't want me to take a picture, so I "caught" her when she wasn't expecting it!

Pretty Princess

Take a look at these pretty toes!

Creepy Crawlies

We went out one morning to water our worms (don't ask) and we all walked right past this guy...he blended in so well. Imagine how shocked I was when I saw him inching closer to our front door as we all watched the worms! Check out how big this sucker is next to my foot!

Blurry close-up

Kolton braving the worms.

Morgan wanted to hold them, too...ewwwww!

Many Days of Morgan

Morgan enjoying some music.
Princess Morgan's idea of posing pretty for the camera! She is her father's daughter!
Morgan had been quiet for a while and when I went to check on her, here's what I found...raiding Bubby Kolton's legos!!

KOLT'S BIG DAY

Technology for braces has come a long way. I was anticipating a 2 hour tedious appointment, and what we found was that we were walking out the door within an hour! Kolton did GREAT and endured only slight discomfort when the orthodontist was scraping glue off.
A band had to be placed on his back molar.

Application of glue

Top braces almost done.

Top braces in place.

More glue application.

Kaden and Morgan comfortably waiting.

Bottom braces in place.

Wire in place.

Rubber bands on and ready to go.

Kolton's personal close-up shot in the van on the way home.

We'll be off to IHOP for dinner - Kolt's choice.

Rainy Day at Jump Zone

Since the weather wasn't the greatest, and we've been homebound for a while...I decided that the kids needed a morning out. We headed over to JumpZone, not knowing there would be a group of kids (K-5) from a summer camp! Oh well, the kids did well overall. Morgan was a bit hesitant at first and relied heavily on Kaden to come down the slides. I realize these pics didn't turn out all that well, but it is proof that we got out of the house! Hahaha!

She preferred the play area.

She was a little scared here, with all the big kids jumping she couldn't even stand up...poor girl.

A quick glance at Kolton - he was off enjoying his independence.

Morgan needed a little assistance climbing up the first time.

Kaden's such a great big brother.

Morgan finally braved it by herself, squealing (or screaming very high pitched) all the way down - every single time!

She figured it out by herself and no longer needed bubbies.

Look at how close they are...and getting along! WOW!

Bubby Kolton's turn - he was a good sport, too.

Taking a break from the crowded room.

A little boy actually shared the train with her, she loves train tables.
